Who can register? Private or visible to everyone.

When you create an event, you need to decide whether it should be "visible to everyone" or "private".

You can also change the setting of the event afterwards under event details.

"Visible to everyone" events

An event that is visible to everyone is shown on the event list (unless you have set a visibility period) and everyone can register.

"Private" events

A private event is not shown on the event list, and registration can only be done via a direct link. A token is inserted in the link.

You can find the link under Share (event links)

You should be aware that the link is not unique – meaning that everyone who has the link can register – unless other registration restrictions are set up.

If you share the link on, for example, your website, you should therefore be aware that everyone who clicks can register.

Be aware of the link when you change status

You can always change an event from "visible to everyone" to "private" – and vice versa.

However, if you change from "visible to everyone" to "private", you should be aware that previously sent links will no longer work.

The new link will be accessible under Share (event links)
